It isbased on a university course in Bulgarian syntax for the philological programs in theDepartment of Philology at the University of Plovdiv. The sentence structures are presented asstructural graphic representations. The analysis, presented as a game, is focused onconstructing a sentence in Bulgarian. Skills for structural graphic descriptions are beingdeveloped. By presenting the second version of the grammar game ‘MeSiZa’s Questions’ theauthors provide students with a step forward in the utilization of the new educational product.Scientifically, the implications belong to the e-Science paradigm. A further collaboration in thearea of grammar games is offered to teachers with the aim of renovating the conventionalschool practices.

Description: Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, November, 2020Theory and Applications of Convex VSIO

Title: Financial Information in the Public Sector as a Prevention Against Corruption

Authors: Naydenova, Svetlana

Abstract: In Europe and most other countries, public sector governments and institutions stilldo not apply accounting standards, as they do in the private sector. The private sector appliesInternational Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or National Accounting Standards. The main difference is that in the public sector, financial reporting is monetary. Assets, liabilitiesand financial result are not reported. This problem affects the responsibility and honesty of the people who run the country now, towards society, future generations and towards future rulers, creates conditions for corruptionand abuse.

Description: Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, November, 2020Digitalization - a Tool for Modern Reading of the Craiova Agreement in Preserved Personal Collections of Evicted Bulgarians From Northern Dobrudja

Title: Optimization of Containers for the HPC Cluster „Nestum“

Authors: Iliev, Ivo; Proykova, Ana

Abstract: Containerization is a very useful software concept, which turns out to not be triviallyimplementable in HPC (High Performance Computing) environments. Containers are based onexisting kernel features and allow for better user control for their application. The main problemthat arises when considering containerization in HPC is a loss of performance. Having that inmind, we found the Singularity container architecture is outperforming the Docker container.Even though the work was done in relation to the cluster Nestum http://hpc-lab.sofiatech.bg/ ,they remain valid for a broad class of HPC systems.

Description: Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, November, 2020Containers in High Performance Computers – Case Studies

Title: Containers in High Performance Computers – Case Studies

Authors: Pizov, Stoyan; Proykova, Ana

Abstract: Docker containers are not the first choice in the field of high performance computing(HPC) due to the need for escalation of the privileges in the implementation of the containersas well as the difficult one integration with batch systems. Singularity is a better alternative toDocker containers in HPC developed by the Berkeley Laboratory (Lawrence Berkeley NationalLaboratory). The performance of containerized applications and the ability to set up andconfigure parallel applications with multiple dependencies on external (third party) softwarepackages is assessed for the following cases: one compute node is only used (32 cores);multiple software packages in one container for classification of chest X - ray images of patientswith SARS-CoV-2 https://github.com/lindawangg/COVID-Net using the platform for Tensorflowopen source machine learning and computer vision library OpenCV.

Description: Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, November, 2020How Will Cloud Services Change Under the GDPR in 2020

Title: How Will Cloud Services Change Under the GDPR in 2020

Authors: Proykova, Ana

Abstract: Bulgaria joined the Council for National Open Science Coordination (CoNOSC),laying the groundwork for creating data sharing conditions (October 2019). The CoNOSCnetwork supports national initiatives for open data from publicly funded research to be findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable (FAIR Data). Access to and re-use of the data is possiblein full for those persons whose personal data meet specific user requirements - institutionalaffiliation, qualification, to name a few. The GDPR is designed to harmonize data privacy lawsacross the European Union, while GRDPR + includes next year's GDPR and similar dataprivacy regulations. The challenge is how to combine Open access and Open data with GDPR+in a HPC laboratory.

Description: Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, November, 2020The Impact of Sea-type Aerozols on the Climate Change and Ozone Layer Depletion

Title: The Impact of Sea-type Aerozols on the Climate Change and Ozone Layer Depletion

Authors: Christov, Christomir

Abstract: Sea salts aerosols are highly hygroscopic and exhibit changes as a function ofrelative humidity. Solid sea salt particles take up water in the atmosphere and form aqueousdroplets. Deliquescence is a process in which a soluble solid substance sorbs water vapor fromthe air to form a very stable saturated aqueous solution on the particle’s surface. The uptakeof water by hygroscopic constituents of airborne particles significantly alters particle reactivity, radiative properties, and cloud-droplet nucleation efficiency. This process is of interest in manyareas, such as chemistry of sea-salt aerosols in the marine boundary layer and cloudsformation in coastal areas, heterogeneous chemistry of inorganic salts, corrosion of metals inatmosphere. The main purpose of this study is to develop a Pitzer approach basedthermodynamic model for stable (laboratory) and metastable (natural) equilibrium in extendedbrine system and to build theoretically “solar evaporation diagram”. We apply the resultingmodel for accurate thermodynamic description of highly non-ideal atmospheric aerosol system, and an accurate estimation of solid-liquid phase change of sea type aerosols as function oftemperature (from 0оС to 75оС) and рН at wet natural conditions.

Description: Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, November, 2020Method for Spread Spectrum Steganography with Cryptographic Algorithm

Title: Local Time Machines as a Model for Presentation of Cultural Information in Models of Smart Cities

Authors: Dobreva-McPherson, Milena; Ivanova, Krassimira

Description: Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, November, 2020Artificial Intelligence in and for Education in Bulgaria – Measures for Achievement Reliable Intelligent Growth
