Abstract: The reflection of core learning theories like behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism in the gamification in education is on the focus of the paper. The ethimology of gamification and basic definitions are discussed. Comparative analysis of characteristics of mentioned above learning theories and gamification is done. Similar and different characteristics are outlined.
