With respect to the boundary conditions along the interface between the heterogeneity and the infinite matrix different boundary value problems are formulated and solved. Boundary Integral Equation Method is applied to evaluate both: (a) the wave far–field due to the wave scattering and diffraction; (b) the stress concentration field near heterogeneities.
