Abstract:
This paper presents briefly the national strategic document “Concept for the Development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Bulgaria until 2030” with a focus on the aspects related to STEM: education, research, data processing, applications of intelligent systems in real life. The SWOT analysis given in the Concept is summarized and possible priority areas are listed. To achieve the ambitious objectives of the Concept and meet the expectations for rapid development of digitization including AI adoption in Bulgaria, further consolidation of the national academic potential will be needed. 2020 Mathematics Subject Classification: 68T99.
