Abstract:
The digital generation learners entertains and plays games on the Internet. They
want to achieve the learning content "now and here". The content has to be adapted according
to their personal performance and the outcome of previous actions as in a computer game. In
order to fulfil these requirements new standards and new approaches for recording and
processing users' actions should be implemented. The purpose of this paper is to review the
current state and some new trends in the development of e-learning systems, especially in
tracking user activities in learning process in particular with the use of educational computer
games.
