Abstract: The work of Prof. Ivan Kanchev leaves lasting traces in Bulgarian contemporary art. He has worked in several different art genres: glass, ceramics, drawing, painting and sculpture, learning each of them at the Nicolae Grigorescu Art Academy in Bucharest. This report looks exactly at his painting, precisely because his searches remain constant and gain depth in his painting. All the periods through his creative way and some more significant works pass trough in the report.
