Abstract: The factors that most often determine the choice of a place by a traveler have been identified and studied. Probabilities related to passenger choice based on distance, frequency of use, type of carriage/compartment and specific seat are defined. Conclusions are drawn for the safety of passengers. Specific measures are proposed to improve safety in the identified scenarios.
