Abstract: Bl. Sendov and V. Popov (1966) estimated the integral distance between two functions from above by means of the Hausdorff metric. In this note a similar lower bound is established. These estimates are used for studying the uniform distance between the solutions of two first order ordinary differential equations by means of the Hausdorff distance between the right-hand sides of the equations.
