Abstract:
The theme, that is discussed, is the painting of Prof. Ivan Kanchev in the context of its style. The prerequisites for the emergence of European neo-expressionism, the political situation there and the comparison with the situation in Bulgaria are discussed. Different authors from Europe and America, representatives of neo-expressionism, are being studied, along with Prof. Ivan Kanchev. It analyzes the stylistic features of neo-expressionism, its means of expression and its main ideas to prove its existence in our country as well.

В доклада се анализира живописното творчество на проф. Иван Кънчев в контекста на стиловата му принадлежност. Разглеждат се предпоставките за възникването на европейския неоекспресионизъм, политическата ситуация в Западна Европа, като се прави съпоставка със ситуацията в България. Изследват се автори от Европа и Америка, представители на неоекспресионизма, като се прави опит за паралел с творчеството на проф. Иван Кънчев. Анализират се стиловите характеристики на неоекспресионизма, изразните му средства и неговите главни идеи, за да се докаже съществуването му и у нас.
